Rev. Kat Chappell

The Rev. Kat Chappell  attended Centre College where she earned a Bachelor of the Arts in Elementary Education. After college she found a church home at St. Paul’s Chattanooga where she completed the Education for Ministry program and was honored to serve as a Eucharistic Visitor. She taught Math and Science at St. Nicholas School for six years, and served as the Lay Chaplain for three years.

During her time in seminary she was honored to engage in field education at St. Timothy’s. She was deeply honored and joyous to be called at Curate beginning in June of 2023.

She was ordained to the Diaconate in December of 2022 and to the Priesthood in July of 2023.

She maintains a love of reading, coffee and friends. She spends downtime with her husband, toddler and hound dog Roscoe. She has to pay for extra cloud storage because she takes so many pictures on her phone, which isn’t really a hobby but a great delight.
