Andrea has a celebrated career in media, marketing and nonprofit management. She spent nearly two decades in broadcast media, beginning as a radio personality and Program Director for Brewer Media as well as a television host with WTVC-News Channel 9. During this period, Andrea was recognized for her talent and community work, receiving the 45 under 45 Award from the State of Tennessee NAACP and two fellowships from the Association of Health Care Journalists. Looking to expand her horizons, she transitioned from media to the not-for-profit sector becoming Director of Marketing and Operations for First Things First in 2009. Other Director-level roles followed at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) Office of Advancement, and in 2022 as Director of Development managing the Children’s Miracle Network program and Corporate Partnerships at Erlanger Health. Andrea holds both a bachelor’s degree in business and a master’s degree in public administration from UTC.
Though she moved on from a broadcasting career, Andrea is still called upon to emcee and facilitate public events, and she can be heard on various media and video projects as a voiceover talent. She is an accomplished singer, directing her church choir since she was in college, and her community service work includes organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, Chattanooga Area Food Bank, American Heart Association and the Leadership Chattanooga Alumni Association. When she’s not working, Andrea enjoys traveling with her husband of 20 years and doting on their nieces and nephews.
