April Phelan is a wife, girl mom (to Selah and Shiloh), and lover of Jesus—deeply passionate about hospitality, beauty, and building things that last.
She majored in Theatre Performance and minored in Servant Leadership at Columbus State University. April spent over a decade as an actress and TV host, telling stories on stage and screen—until 2018, when she and her husband traded bright lights for treetop heights and started building Selah Ridge Treesort—a luxury retreat nestled in the branches of North Georgia. The Magnolia Network followed along the entire wild and wonderful journey, cheering them on as they crafted a place where rest meets wonder.
Now with four stunning structures and three unforgettable rentals, April runs the day-to-day operations of Selah Ridge with grit, grace, and more spreadsheets than she ever signed up for. Along the way, she and her husband have had the joy of hosting over 1,000 guests from across the country—and even a few brave souls from around the world.
April believes that beauty slows us down, stillness speaks louder than hustle, and that good things happen when people gather with purpose. She’s passionate about creating spaces where hearts can breathe, stories can unfold, and God’s presence can be felt in both the quiet moments and the big adventures.
