Angela S. Wood, MD, FACOG

Dr. Wood obtained her undergraduate degree in psychology from Princeton University. After several years working in the mental health field, she returned to medical school at the Medical College of Georgia where she received her medical degree in 2004 and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She completed her Ob/Gyn residency in Asheville, North Carolina where she served as administrative chief resident and in 2008 returned to northwest Georgia to join AOG. She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Her areas of interest include daVinci robotic surgery, in-office procedures, preventive care, adolescent health, patient education and the menopausal transition. She lives in Dalton with her husband, is the proud mom of an adult son and daughter, and is an avid baseball fan.
